Reverse Phone Look Up Fact or Fable?
In this day and age of the Internet and instant access to information, it IS POSSIBLE to
locate someone in the blink of an eye, or more properly said, the click of a mouse. There are multiple online resources that will allow you
to do a reverse phone lookup, or reverse phone search. What you do in input a known phone number, and the online database will return a
person's name.
Step one will be to determine whether the phone number is a landline or cell phone, and there are tools out there that will allow these
searches to be possible, but not all are free. For instance, if you were to type a number into the box below, you'd be given the ability
quickly and easily locate a number, but there might be a cost involved.
Of course the first place you should go (and this is completely free) are the online search engines, Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. which will often
turn up a surprising amount of information simply by inputting a person's name, or if you input a phone number. Sometimes this is all that
is needed to find who belongs to a certain number.
Recently I had someone leave me a voice mail, it was not a number I was familiar with, and while the message was very nicely put, I was
reluctant to call them, thinking it was a bill collector, or someone I didn't want to speak with. What I did was take the number they'd
left for me to call, use a reverse phone lookup where I inputted the phone number, and immediately I was given the name of the business. I
was right... no way was I going to return that call.
By doing a simple search or clicking a few links, you'll often find out exactly what you're looking for in short order. If a lookup
finds no match, make sure you entered the phone number correctly into the reverse phone search box. You may be looking in the wrong places
if you are using a free reverse phone search directory or website. Only paid reverse phone search directories are able to provide
comprehensive details of a wide coverage of phone numbers including hand phone numbers and unlisted numbers.
The most established reverse phone search directories are able to offer you unlimited number of phone searches and a premium phone
report.
Keep the following in mind, the information that you seek is only available if the name of the person is actually listed, otherwise you'll
need to access different directories. Doing a reverse search for a cell phone, is another matter entirely and the normal free directories
will not give you what you want, you'll have to use a paid service in those cases; the same is true for unlisted number.
So is it possible to locate an unlisted number? Yes, but you'll have to do more in-depth research and will most likely need to use a paid
reverse phone search site. Reverse phone lookups for cell phone are more difficult and if the person is using a throw-away phone, then your
changes are quite limited.
If you're serious about finding someone, and unless they are in witness protection, it can be done, but it's something you'll need to put your
mind too, and possibly have to pay a fee.
